Custom PC Build - Terms and Conditions

At Prime Tech Support, we specialize in building custom PCs tailored to your specific needs—whether you're a gamer, creative professional, business user, or power user. Our goal is to deliver high-performance systems using quality components and expert assembly. To ensure transparency and a smooth process, the following terms outline what you can expect when working with us on a custom PC build, including timelines, warranty coverage, labor terms, and support policies.

Consultation & Costs

Consultation Fee:
If you need help selecting the right parts for your custom PC, a non-refundable consultation fee of $80.00 will apply.
This fee includes:

  • A one-on-one evaluation with a technician

  • Expert recommendations tailored to your needs (e.g., gaming, productivity, creative work)

  • A list of compatible parts, with direct purchase links so you can order the components yourself

If you proceed with the build, this fee is applied toward your final labor invoice.

Parts Compatibility & Assessment:
If you bring your own parts:

  • Our technician will inspect and test for compatibility and condition

  • If any parts are incompatible, missing, or defective, we will pause the build and offer a paid consultation

  • If you accept, the $80 consultation fee will be charged before proceeding

Build Quote:

  • If you bring the parts: we only charge for the build labor

  • If we source the parts: we’ll provide a quote that includes both parts and labor

  • Once approved, we will begin the build


Turnaround Time & Rush Service

Standard Turnaround:
Most builds are completed within 24 to 72 hours, depending on:

  • Parts availability

  • System complexity

  • Current build queue

If we are experiencing high demand, your build may be delayed slightly, but we will always provide updates.

 


RUSH SERVICE – OPTIONAL ($200.00)

Want your system prioritized from start to finish? Our Rush Service is available for an additional $200.00 non-refundable fee and guarantees your build receives top priority throughout the process.

With Rush Service, you get:

  • Immediate start upon receiving your device or parts

  • Top-of-queue placement throughout assembly, BIOS setup, OS install, and testing

  • If parts are needed, we will expedite the sourcing and send you shipping options for approval

  • Once parts arrive, your system is completed without delay

Same-day or next-day delivery is often possible with Rush Service, depending on part availability and complexity.
Rush Service is non-refundable and does not apply toward the final build cost.


Warranty & Support

Labor Warranty:

  • If you bring your own parts: you receive a 30-day labor warranty

  • If Prime Tech Support provides the parts: you receive a 90-day labor warranty, covering full assembly and installation

Manufacturer Warranty for Parts:
All new parts installed by Prime Tech Support include their original manufacturer warranties, typically 1 year or more, depending on the part and brand.

Warranty Limitations:
Warranty is voided if:

  • Any hardware is tampered with, removed, or modified after the build

  • The operating system or drivers are reset, changed, or misconfigured

  • The system is damaged by improper usage, external factors, or third-party service


Operating System & Software

OS installation (Windows, Linux, etc.) is available upon request.
We handle system setup, BIOS configuration, and driver installations.

Licensing fees may apply depending on the OS selected.


Compatibility & Responsibility for Customer-Supplied Parts

When customers provide their own components for a custom build, Prime Tech Support is not responsible for the performance, condition, or compatibility of those parts. We will make every effort to build the system as requested, but we cannot guarantee successful integration or stability. If any part is defective, incomplete, or incompatible, additional labor fees may apply for troubleshooting, reconfiguration, or replacement.

Software Installation & Configuration

Unless specified in your build quote, software setup (including operating system installation, BIOS configuration, driver updates, or optimization) is not included. These services are available upon request and quoted separately. If operating system installation is part of your build, you are responsible for providing valid activation keys and licensing.

Payment Policy

If Prime Tech Support provides all components and labor for a complete build, the total must be paid in full before the build begins using one of the following methods:

  • Cash (in-store only)

  • Zelle

  • ACH transfer

  • Wire transfer

Credit cards and checks are not accepted for complete PC builds.
