GPU Repair Terms
GPU repairs involve advanced diagnostics and board-level work that carry inherent risks, including the possibility of partial recovery or non-repairable outcomes. By authorizing Prime Tech Support to service your GPU, you acknowledge that repairs may involve non-reversible procedures, the use of donor parts, and the potential loss of original performance characteristics. While we use industry-standard practices and tools, successful repair depends on the condition of the card and prior damage. The terms outlined below govern all GPU repair services, including diagnostic procedures, warranty limitations, turnaround expectations, and parts-related policies.
Important Service Notices
No Guarantee of Repair
Due to the complex and delicate nature of GPU repairs, success is never guaranteed. Some GPUs may be beyond recovery due to pre-existing damage, component failure, or limitations in available parts. By authorizing service, you acknowledge that the outcome may include a non-repairable result, and labor or diagnostics may still be billable even if full functionality is not restored.
Repair May Be Paused or Terminated
In certain cases, the repair process may be paused or discontinued if deeper board-level issues are found, if required donor parts become unavailable, or if continuing the repair presents additional risks to the device. You will be notified promptly if the repair status changes, and options such as data extraction, parts return, or salvage will be discussed.
Repair Timeline Expectations
GPU repairs typically require 3 to 7 business days, depending on the issue and parts availability. However, complex cases or liquid-damaged cards may take longer. Turnaround time estimates are not guaranteed, especially if new issues are discovered during testing or installation.
Customer Conduct & Communication
We understand that your GPU may be critical to your work or gaming setup. While we make every effort to keep you informed, we kindly ask that customers refrain from excessive status requests, attempts to rush the repair process, or pressure to bypass our diagnostic procedures. These behaviors can negatively impact service efficiency and may result in repair delays or cancellation.
Extended Repair Attempts & Labor Charges
At Prime Tech Support, we believe in transparent and fair pricing. In most cases, if a repair attempt is unsuccessful, no additional labor is charged beyond the standard diagnostic fee. However, some devices—especially those requiring board-level repair, GPU rework, or extensive troubleshooting—may involve several hours of technician time and specialized tools.
In such complex cases, we reserve the right to apply additional labor charges only if approved in advance by the customer. If we determine that your repair falls into this category, we will contact you to explain the situation and present a revised estimate before proceeding further.
This policy allows us to dedicate the time and resources needed for difficult cases while keeping our standard pricing simple and customer-friendly.
