Microsoldering Terms and Conditions
Microsoldering involves high-complexity, board-level repair work that goes beyond standard part replacements. Due to the delicate nature of the components and the absence of schematics in many cases, these repairs carry inherent risks and cannot always guarantee success. Prime Tech Support applies expert-level techniques and tools to perform these repairs, but the outcome depends heavily on the condition of the board and prior damage. By authorizing this service, you acknowledge these risks. The terms below outline our approach, no-warranty cases, non-refundable labor policies, and important disclaimers related to microsoldering.
COSTS
Minimum Service Fee:
The minimum fee for microsoldering services is $80.00. This covers the technician’s time to evaluate the issue and begin the repair process.
The final repair cost will be provided after an assessment is completed at the front desk or by our technician.
SERVICE SCOPE
Microsoldering involves board-level repairs where components are replaced or reworked under a microscope using precision tools. This service is commonly used on:
-
Smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops
-
Gaming consoles, drones, audio systems, medical equipment
-
Custom or industrial PCBs without schematics
Each case is unique, and a proper evaluation is required before confirming repair feasibility and cost.
RUSH SERVICE – OPTIONAL
Need your repair expedited? Our Rush Service is available for an additional $200.00 fee.
Rush Service guarantees that your device will be:
-
Prioritized for immediate diagnostics and repair upon arrival
-
If parts or components are needed, we will rush the sourcing process and present any expedited shipping fees for your approval
-
Once parts are received, your device will be moved directly into rework and testing without delay
Please note: Rush Service is non-refundable and does not apply toward the final repair cost.
If parts are available or not required, microsoldering repairs under Rush Service are typically completed in 2 to 3 business days.
Timeframes may vary depending on repair complexity, board condition, or part availability.
Extended Repair Attempts & Labor Charges
Microsoldering often involves intensive diagnostics, reflow, reballing, or component-level replacement on damaged circuit boards. While our flat-rate labor fees apply to most standard cases, some jobs require several hours of advanced work using oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, or rework stations.
In such cases, Prime Tech Support reserves the right to charge additional labor only if discussed and approved in advance. If your device requires extended repair attempts or custom procedures beyond the original scope, you will receive a clear explanation and estimate before we proceed.
This ensures fairness while allowing us to allocate the time and expertise needed to attempt the most complex recoveries.
WORK WARRANTY & QUALITY CONTROL
Microsoldering is a specialized process often performed on devices that have pre-existing issues, including liquid damage, failed previous repairs, or instability. Therefore:
-
We do not guarantee full device functionality after microsoldering, especially if the board has multiple faults or deteriorated circuitry
-
We do guarantee that the soldering work itself is performed properly, using high-quality materials, precise tools, and expert methods
-
If the original soldering point fails due to workmanship, we will rework it at no additional labor cost within 30 days
If new or unrelated issues appear after repair, or if another area of the board fails, additional labor or parts may be required.
